Having ducked into the old building with its broken windows and cracking spires, a front metal door that hung by its hinges. He just didn't want to go inside the place, it filled him with a sense of unease and every time he passed by it he felt a shiver go up his spine. But now, he didn't have a choice, the driving rain had forced him inside the ruined building.
He walked around the front part of the house, this room was too dark to tell if there was any furniture left in here. It gave him a chill and he felt like he really wasn't alone, but in reality he could see almost nothing beyond his own hands.
Finally, deciding he was safer outside, he turned and a streak of lightening filled the air. Maybe, he was really well off staying there. He moved in the darkness until his hand hit the wall, and leaning against that wall he slid down until his bottom hit the floor.
Another streak of lightening danced across the sky, creating a sudden flash inside the room which gave him view of the room he was in. There was nothing there, a doorway to the right that led down a long corridor through the house. For a moment he thought maybe he should keep moving around. But right now, probably not the best idea. Placing his head on his folded arms above his knees, soon his chest began to rise and fall, as he slept.
The sun had begun to cast its soft rays through the clouds and into the room. He could see that there was a doorway to his left in the morning light, and he realized that there was a slight buzz of a sound outside.
Finally rising to his feet with the aid of the wall, he stretched the cramped muscles and let the bones snap with relief. A shrug of his shoulders as he made his way towards that corridor he had spotted over the night, the buzz became insist ant and it was becoming angry. When he reached it, the sound became louder, it was as if insects had begun to buzz at the same time. Just beyond the wall there was the word "BLOOD" and noted that it dripped with still fresh blood.
Fear had tingled his senses just then, it began at his very fingertips and ran all the way up his neck. Turning to leave he started up the hall but stopped when he reached the front room. Now he definitely had a bad feeling about this, he turned his head slightly and squinted his eyes, there was a man standing before him. His features seemed to ripple his whole body moved slowly. He looked closer at the man and those bulging eyes watched him with a salivating glance. He glanced wide as a ray of sunlight suddenly hit the man with the spidery veins about his body. The man stepped forward, tattered clothing fell away to reveal bone and gristle, what was left of the walking cadaver.
His mouth opened in utter horror as it stepped closer and blood that looked still fresh oozed from the corner of its mouth.
"Flesh" the Zombie moaned.
